| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES |
At the end of the semester, the student should be able to demonstrate skills associated with playing the guitar. Students will perform guitar literature(2.4) from various epochs, genres and geographic regions(1.6). Practical theory, chart/note reading, and fretboard harmony(1.1) will be part of this daily workshop/lecture/lab. |

Through learning how to play the guitar, the student will have a better understanding of guitar's role in music. Principal guitarists who have re-defined the guitar's sound will also be discussed(3.1). |
