GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
We will be reading "Animal Farm" by George Orwell in class through April 25th
with associated assignments, projects and writings. If you miss class, you will
need to read on your own to catch up.  You will not need to buy the book (unless
you want to), I will distribute the book to you.

1. Students will develop word analysis skills, fluency, and systematic vocabulary.
2. Students will understand and apply written and oral language conventions.  
3. Students will understand and apply appropriate writing and research strategies.
4. Students will understand and apply listening and speaking strategies.     
5. Students will read, comprehend, analyze, and critique a major literary work.
