"Until I enrolled at North Hills Prep, I hated school.  But at NHP I felt accepted and respected, and that changed everything for me.  This school is a place where you can grow, be yourself, and develop a love of learning."
Former NHP Student, Class of 2012

Founded in 1992 and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1994, North Hills Prep has been successfully serving Special Education students for over 20 years.  In addition to our strong academic program which follows district guidelines, we are committed to each student's social, emotional, and behavioral development.  We offer a wide variety of academic and enrichment experiences so that every student can embrace and explore their unique interests and capabilities.
Students often come to North Hills Prep feeling frustrated, invisible, misunderstood, and incapable. Many have lost confidence in themselves and have lost faith in the value of education. Our goal is the help every student regain enthusiasm about school, build self-confidence through authentic achievement and learn to value his or her education again. We take time to understand their individuality and engage them in the school experience. It is our aim to prepare each student for safe passage to the adult world, be that university, community college, vocational or technical training, or gainful employment.
